Modern society is constantly undergoing changes due to various factors such as globalisation, migration, digitalisation, increased competition in the economy and the recent phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic. The latter has been a major challenge for all countries and fields of endeavour, including the education system. The changed situation entails adaptation, modification and selection of approaches, methods and means of teaching, while the content of the discipline does not change, but remains fixed in accordance with the federal state educational standards of higher education, basic professional educational programmes, curricula and work programmes [1]. The question arises - how to transform the discipline "Foreign language" so that in modern conditions and taking into account global trends graduates of medical training could successfully integrate into a multicultural society?

English language proficiency opens the door to international communication, allows access to modern medical technologies and training, and improves the quality of medical care for patients around the world. However, there are certain problems and challenges in teaching English with a focus on the medical field. In this paper, we will discuss these problems and the prospects of overcoming them.

Nowadays, Medical English is becoming an increasingly important tool in the healthcare field where accuracy and clarity of communication are critical. However, despite its essential role, there are serious problems that hinder the effective use of this language in medical practice and education.

1. Lack of attention to the teaching of medical English:

Many educational programmes in medical schools do not provide sufficient hours of English language instruction. This results in inadequate preparation of students for international communication and working in an international environment.

2. Inaccessibility of quality educational resources:

In some regions, there is a lack of access to quality educational materials and courses in medical English, making it difficult for students and professionals in the medical field to learn.

3. Difficulties in translating medical terminology:

Medical terminology is complex and specific, making it difficult to translate and understand for students whose first language is different from English.

4. Heterogeneity in language proficiency levels:

Medical English students and professionals may have different levels of language proficiency, which makes it difficult to provide effective training and evaluate their progress.

Based on these challenges, it is necessary to look for ways to improve the understanding and use of Medical English. In this article, we will also look at the prospects of solving them.

With the development of global medicine and the increasing number of international contacts in healthcare, it has become increasingly important to ensure effective understanding between medical professionals from different countries and cultures.

In this context, Medical English acts as a key communication tool to connect professionals and patients from different parts of the world.

Perspectives on the use of Medical English include several aspects that can contribute to its more effective and successful use.

1. Development of specialised courses and programmes:

Creating courses and programmes in medical English specifically tailored to the needs of students and professionals in the medical field will help to improve the quality of learning and prepare professionals to be successful in an international environment.

2. Integrating technology into learning:

The use of online platforms, mobile applications and other modern technologies will make learning more accessible and flexible, and enrich the learning process with interactive materials and assignments.

3.International co-operation and exchange of experience:

The development of international co-operation between medical schools and professional associations will enable the exchange of experience and best practice in medical English teaching.

4. Development of databases and resources:

The development of databases and online resources with medical vocabulary, teaching materials and sample texts will help to improve the accessibility and quality of medical English teaching for all stakeholders.

All of these perspectives together can contribute to improving the effectiveness and quality of medical communication in English, which in turn will lead to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction worldwide.

Overall, addressing challenges and promising ideas requires collaborative efforts from educational institutions, professional organisations and government agencies and other stakeholders. In different ways and approaches, we can provide more effective English for Medical Education and improve the quality of medical practice globally.
