Abstract. The study explores how emerging technologies like AI and automation can create jobs and empower marginalized communities in developing economies. Using qualitative methods, including interviews with IT specialists, the research highlights both the potential and challenges of these technologies. The findings emphasize the need for strategic planning and policy formulation to ensure inclusive economic growth.

Introduction. This research examines the potential of AI and automation to create jobs and uplift marginalized communities in developing countries. The Fourth Industrial Revolution presents both opportunities and challenges, and understanding how to harness these technologies is crucial for inclusive growth. The study aims to investigate how these technologies can be utilized to benefit marginalized groups, exploring questions related to job creation, empowerment, and the potential issues in implementing these technologies.

Literature Review

Key Terms:

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Technology designed to perform tasks requiring human intelligence.

Automation: Technology that performs tasks without human intervention.

Emerging Technologies: New technologies expected to impact work and life significantly in the next 5-10 years.

Developing Economies: Countries with low living standards and underdeveloped industries.

Key Points:

AI and automation can create new jobs and industries, such as AI specialists and robotics engineers.

These technologies can provide marginalized communities access to information and opportunities, improving their productivity and living standards.

Education and skill development are critical for preparing individuals for new job opportunities created by these technologies.

The potential for job displacement highlights the need for policies to manage the transition and ensure equitable benefits.

Methodology

The study employed qualitative methods, conducting semi-structured interviews with five IT experts. This approach allowed for in-depth exploration of the experts' views on how AI and automation can create jobs and empower communities. The small sample size and potential biases were mitigated by selecting diverse participants and cross-verifying information with secondary data.

Results. Interviews with IT experts revealed that AI and automation have significant potential to create new job opportunities and empower marginalized groups. Key findings include:

AI and automation can drive economic growth by increasing productivity and creating new industries.

These technologies can provide marginalized communities access to valuable information and services, improving their livelihoods.

There is a risk of job displacement, particularly for low-skilled jobs, emphasizing the need for strategic planning and policy measures.

Conclusion AI and automation offer considerable potential for job creation and empowerment in developing economies. However, managing the risks associated with job displacement and ethical concerns is crucial. The study highlights the importance of regulatory frameworks and strategic planning to ensure these technologies contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
